What is an international internship?
If you’ve heard your college administrators or classmates discussing ways to boost academic performance and professional resumes before entering the career world, you’ve likely also heard the term “international internship” too. Perhaps your degree even requires a certain number of internship hours to graduate and you like the idea of doing it abroad.
Internship requirements vary by job, so no one shoe fits all. Some internships have a College year minimum, others may have a major or class prerequisite. If you are hoping to intern in a country where English isn’t a primary language, you can bet you’ll need a certain level of fluency in the respective local language.
JRR Integrated solutions (JRR Immigration) provide immigration services for visas and guidance when trying to land an international internship. Many countries will allow you to intern on a 1/3/6/12-month work visa, while others may require an invitation contact from the internship program before applying for your visa.

When can I apply for an internship?
JRR recruit interns on an on-going basis and applications are accepted throughout the year. You can apply anytime via our online application platform.
Internship start dates will be set based on your dates of availability and the JRR hiring teams’ schedules: do not forget to specify the date and duration of your availability in the application form. If your application is not successful, you are welcome to apply again to the next vacancy publication, which appear on the dates below:
- 1 September 2023 (Last date of submission of your documents and fee 30 May 2023)
- 1 March 2024 (Last date of submission of your documents and fee 31 December 2023)
Note to applicants
Due to the high volume of applications received, the JRR Office is not in a position to provide individual feedback. Therefore, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted through phone/email for an interview. If you are not contacted by JRR teams within three months following your application’s submission, you can assume your application has not been retained on this occasion and you can apply again according to the dates provided above. Please remember you will still need to be enrolled as a student during the internship period.
